Softball results ...

... Rodney's team placed third in all the teams on both NAS Pensacola and Corry Station. Over 20 teams in all. They would have done much better, but they were missing three of their top players (vacation, a Chief initiation for the Navy, and an injury) and three of the players there were hurt, including Rodney, who seemed to have bruised his ribs. But, in all, third is still great and the team still had a ton of fun when they played. Rodney did a great job as the team pitcher, his first season to play that position. In fact, he has been asked to pitch for some other teams, as well. He and I are thinking about playing in a fall co-ed league put on by the church near our house. He was so excited about the prospect of coaching me, he already bought me a bat. Hopefully we won;t want to beat each other with it by the time his coaching is through.
