Will's 9th Birthday!

Will's 9th Birthday... we went and saw Rio, had pizza for supper and Will got plenty of fun stuff, including Harry Potter Legos, gift cards, basketball hoop and the new DS Black and White Pokemon games. Oh, and don't forget the Spiderman socks!! Xan was a good sport, but boy was he DYING to break into his brother's Legos!

5th Birthday celebration...

Xan was kind enough to agree to celebrating his birthday tonight, instead of his actual birthday yesterday. I had class last night, so I wasn't home until after 9. Here is some video of the boys with Grandma Peggy and Grandpa Paul's gift:

Checking out the new gift...
Giving it a "shot"...

A "Love"-ly Renaissance Woman

My Mom and I met Grace Zabriskie, actress (think Lois Hendrickson in "Big Love"), poet and visual artist tonight at UWF. Very interesting lady and I enjoyed listening to her perspective on the "Renaissance Woman." I love the boxes she creates! Take a look: www.gracezabriskie.com

Pen Air Spring Fling

Pen Air FCU had its annual employee Spring Fling Saturday afternoon, with fun and games for adults and children alike. Will and Xan had a great time jumping, sliding, crafting, shooting and riding. Later in the afternoon Rodney and I played in the softball game, assigned to opposite teams. My team won 4-2. :)

Juggling two back-to-back little league games was a challenge, even with an extra adult around! Both boys did fabulous: Xan did not need to hit off the tee at all, and managed to score two points for his team (it was a tie 14-14). He played the "target position" (pitcher) and threw to first base for an out twice. But he made sure we knew that he prefers to play catcher. Will hit very well, got a double with 3 RBIs, and then pitched (as seen in the top photo) the final innings, striking out two players. He also did well on first base.
