Valentine's Day, a little late ...

... Since I was in California for Valentine's Day and Rodney isn't so great and going through the mail, there were some Valentine's Day cards stacked up for the boys. Thanks to everyone who sent them. They really enjoyed them.

Will read his own, including the long letter from Aunt Vicky. Xan had me read her note twice. They both enjoyed the stickers from cousins Kara, Lauren and Hannah.

They also had some money and Target gift cards, so Sunday night we went off toy shopping. We let the boys choose their own toys. Xan was done in about five minutes, being quite decisive. He picked out a foot-tall Ironman. Will took about a half hour to pick out his toys, putting back sveral before he decided on these collectible monsters.

Last night was baseball practice. Will is learning about base running for the most part. Xan kicked a soccer ball around for a good 45 minutes. I have no idea where he gets his energy.

And, by request from my mother, here is a photo of Will and his missing top front teeth.

Birthday party ...

Rodney's captain Cooper and his wife, Denise, had a birthday party for their son, Xavier. We went and the boys had a blast. I had a lot of fun too. I love those jump house parties, as some of you might remember from Will and Xan's party last year. Here are some pics from today...

Baseball practice and clean rooms...

Sorry I ahvent; gotten pictures up lately. I have had a very busy week and Rodney was kind enough to take the camera with him to Will's baseball practice today, He is on the Yankees and I think it will be one of the better teams in the league. The coach is an All Stars team coach and knows his stuff. Will's soccer coach has his son on this team, too, so that's fun that Will has another kid he already knows. Here are those shots from tonight:

Rodney has been taking a lot of naps. Apparently having the kids for three weeks on his own was exhausting, as I am sure it was. He was a good sport about it all, though. I spent much of my week flying home from California, taking care of household stuff and dealing with business snafus that popped up. I also spent about 7 hours cleaning the boys' bedroom and playroom. Just so there is proof of my labor, I took pictures:

Please note the organizational cards placed on each drawer so everyone, minus perhaps non-reader Xan, knows where things go. But Xan has a great memory, so I am holding him to those cards!

More later!

Valentine's Day came a little early this year...

... Rodney sent me a rose today (with the 'rents help - I'm still in California until next week) and made my day. Thanks, baby, I love you.

This is at the request of my mother... and probably the torment of my father. For years my Mom has gotten pedicures and my Dad sometimes makes an off-hand comment, saying he'd like to have one. Well, be careful what you wish for. As a Valentine's Day gift, Mom made an appointment for Dad to get a pedicure when she did today.

I surprised him by showing up at the salon with a camera... he seemed to have forgiven me, so, like any child, I thought I'd take it a step father and publish the photos to the blog. Believe it or not, he said he enjoyed the pampering. Hopefully I won't be grounded after he finds this post ... hee hee hee.

Toddler soccer and turtle showers...

... which of those two would be more difficult? Well, considering the 40-pound turtles managed to take showers on their own when the sprinklers came on, and Brandon needed some assistance with the whole kicking thing, I would say toddler soccer is a little more difficult. But take a look at the photos and decide for yourself...
