Reenlistment

Rodney reenlisted today... like this whole process, the career planner was over half an hour late so all these sailors are actually there for a hurricane preparedness brief, not Rodney's short ceremony, but they sat through it, anyway. The one speaking at the podium is the career planner and the one swearing Rodney in is his captain, Heath Phillips.

Now that this is complete, we have to move forward and jump of the remaining hurdles before leaving Pensacola in July for Japan.

Rodney forgot the white belt that went to his dress blues uniform. Amber and Justin Poor came through, borrowing a belt from a friend that would suffice.

Yes, there was a (small) wedding cake, but Jill and Luke prefer pie... so there was pie!

The kids were lined up along the dance floor, waiting for Jill and Luke to do their first dance. After that, they took over the dance floor. Xan perfected his dance floor flip.

Here is some video of the kids on the dance floor. Xan introduced all of us to his dance floor front flip (we have no idea where he is learning this stuff) and there is an example of that in the second video. Mind you, the first time he did it, we were taken by surprise, so there is no video. This video was shot about 3 hours later, when he was tired and had kicked off his shoes.
